Anderson Silva is the f*cking man!

Wow...what can I say? As usual, my absolute fave, Anderson "the spider" Silva does not disappoint. I think the casual MMA fan is finally starting to get it when it comes to the elegant decomposition of Anderson's opponents.

If you watch his last three opponents' non-verbal communications, you can clearly see how they start out strong and strike first while Anderson sizes them up. Feeling their rhythm, timing their strikes, watching their reactions to his advances, Anderson gauges his prey and then goes in for the kill. Once he engages his offense, you see their expressions change. At first, they shake it off...like a sting. Then a few more "bites from the spider" and the venom starts to do its work. The prey is overwhelmed and just waits for the encounter to be over. Like flies trapped in his web, his opponents succumb to their inevitable fate.

Anderson finished a very well-rounded, and well-known Forrest Griffin in UFC 101 in the initial minutes of the first round with a straight up knockout in Philadelphia tonight. Hands by his side, moving backwards, ducking strikes like Neo in the Matrix, taunting Forrest, Anderson finished him quickly. With one punch on the button Forrest hit the mat, waving the ref off indicating he had had enough. Seconds later popping up and running out of the cage before the over-animated Bruce Buffer could even announce the winner, Forrest was clearly disappointed by his rapid defeat.
If you ask me, better that than to see Forrest cry in the cage again! mmauuh!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Anderson is on a whole other level. He's dominated the Middle Weight division for over 3 years now without defeat since joining the UFC. And he has started chipping away at the Light Heavy Weight division in between title defenses because he's bored.

While I know many MMA fans want to see GSP move up to 185lbs to fight Anderson for the Middle Weight title, I would much prefer to see Anderson take on Gegard Mousassi at 205lbs just so the spider can fight a formidable opponent once and for all.

Most American MMA fans don't know the name Gegard Mousassi. But if you have the opportunity to catch the Strikeforce Carano vs. Cyborg event in San Jose on Showtime next Saturday August 15th, you will see Babalu getting his ass handed to him by Mousassi. Or at least that's my prediction. :)

After having the privilege of watching Gegard do his magic in the Dream Middle Weight Grand Prix tournament in Japan, I will respond to anyone who asks me "Who should Anderson fight that will challenge him?" with Gegard Mousassi!!!!

Who in the UFC? I have no idea...I actually thought Forrest would have done a little better than he did. But now, Dana White and all the other haters can shut the F up! Anderson is and always has been the real deal. He's a figher...he shows up to fight. He's not into the show business or the ass kissin'...he just wants to fight! And he will long be a favorite of the hardcore MMA fan! xoxo mmauuh~mami
